An amazingly simple technique to learn, the ability
to use Reiki is not taught in the usual sense, but is transferred to
the student during a Reiki class. After the attunement the student will
be able to use this hands on healing technique to heal themselves and
others.
The Reiki attunement process is how one becomes a Reiki practitioner.
Being attuned to Reiki gives one the ability to easily access the Reiki
(Universal Life Force) energy, for the purpose of healing a person or
situation. Attunements can be given only by a Reiki Master and can be
given for either the purpose of training one in Reiki, or for simply
giving someone a larger experience of Reiki than is usually experienced
in treatments.
The attunement procedure is a ceremony of spirit. In
this ceremony the Reiki master uses the Reiki symbols and other gestures
in a prescribed way. This ceremony creates an energy pattern around
the recipient of the attunement which entrains (or attunes) their energy
field to the energies represented by the symbols. The attunement is
permanent, thus making the recipient a Reiki practitioner.

Reiki 2 opens additional energy centers and connects you to a greater
volume of Reiki Energy. During the course, you are given three sacred
symbols, each having a specific function. These symbols can then be
used as a focus to enable you to strengthen mental and emotional healing
and to send absentee healing. A large part of the training received
in Second Degree is centered on the understanding and use of these symbols.
In Reiki 2 training you receive two attunements. At this stage of the training, the energy attunement is greatly amplified and its focus is on the etheric body rather than the physical. As a result of these attunements, you may develop both a greater sensitivity to energy and a psychic awareness.
Techniques are taught to enable you to:
Focus the energy on the release of mental and emotional blocks.
Focus your mind to enable to send Reiki energy beyond time and space
and thus bring about effective absentee healing.

Exploring Hips and Second Chakra
Any idea how much tension is held in our hips? The pelvic bowl is the location of the second chakra and is associated with creative energy. Having open hips allows creative energy to flow and is a gateway to freedom.
Join Jene` for a balanced systematic practice with emphasis on poses that focus on the muscles surrounding the hip joints. Most of us are sitting or standing for most of the day and our hips bear the result: tension and tightness. We also tend to hold a lot of mental and emotional stress in the hips, which increases stiffness. We’ll move quickly into a flow practice to heat the muscles and joints. Then we will go slowly, gradually and deeply into the hips and adjoining muscles from different directions.
Be ready to move and sweat! Also be prepared for some long holds in poses as we allow a true stretch that permits any suppressed mental/physical toxins to be released from the body. You will experience more space, freedom and happiness in your
